Amanda Markowski, LICSW
I strive to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment to help you learn more about yourself, gain skills to navigate life’s challenges, and live an authentic, fulfilled life. My areas of focus include working with clients who experience anxiety, panic, OCD, and trauma. I enjoy working with clients who identify as LGBQ+, transgender, and/or gender expansive. In my practice, I utilize a person-centered, relational approach.
I use various modalities including exposure and response prevention (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and inference-based CBT (ICBT) in my work with clients to treat OCD and anxiety. When helping clients navigate trauma, I use Anchored Relational Therapy (formerly AIR Network) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
I have completed an EMDRIA-approved Basic Training program with the Midwest Center for EMDR Training and Therapy. I am also certified in Anchored Relational Therapy (formerly AIR Network), a neuro-developmental, competency-based model of therapy for complex PTSD and dissociation, through the Midwest Center for Trauma and Emotional Healing.
